What is a child safety bracelet for?
A child safety bracelet does not replace adult supervision. It can, however, provide additional support for vigilance, particularly in environments where attention is heavily demanded: crowds, beaches, amusement parks, travel or holidays.
Loomi’s purpose is not to track a child on a map. The device is designed to alert the parent directly on the wrist when a predefined situation is detected.
Loomi is a tool that supports vigilance. It never replaces active, attentive supervision suited to the situation.
How does Loomi work?

Immersion
If the child bracelet detects immersion, a dedicated vibration immediately draws the parent’s attention.
Removal
If the child bracelet is removed or comes off, Loomi detects the situation and alerts the parent on the wrist.
Child SOS
If needed, the child can trigger an SOS alert themselves. The parent receives a dedicated, recognisable vibration.

Loomi was designed around a different approach: quickly drawing the parent’s attention when an event occurs nearby, without turning the child into a point to be constantly followed on a map.

Why no GPS?
Get alerted rather than follow a map.
Loomi is not a GPS tracker. It does not locate the child or track their movements on a map.
Its approach is based on proximity and situation alerts transmitted between the bracelets. While the bracelets remain connected, information reaches the parent directly by vibration.
Range can reach around 60 m depending on the environment. Beyond that, Loomi may move out of connection range: the parent bracelet then warns the wearer by vibration until the connection is restored.

What to know before choosing a child safety bracelet.
Does a child safety bracelet replace adult supervision?
No. Loomi is designed to complement the vigilance of parents or responsible adults. It never replaces active, attentive supervision suited to the situation.
Can Loomi locate my child?
No. Loomi is not a GPS tracker and does not allow you to follow your child’s position on a map. It works through proximity and situation alerts transmitted between the bracelets.
What situations can trigger a Loomi alert?
Loomi is designed around four situations: distance, immersion, removal of the child bracelet and an SOS triggered by the child.
Is the Immersion function an anti-drowning device?
No. The Immersion function is an additional alert function. It is not an anti-drowning device and never replaces active adult supervision.
Do the alerts work at any distance?
No. Alerts are transmitted while the bracelets remain connected. Range can reach around 60 m depending on the environment. Beyond that, the parent bracelet warns of the lost connection by vibration.
Is Loomi already available to buy?
No. Loomi is currently in development. Availability is planned during 2027.
